Luxonic have expanded their production facilities due to a high demand for LED light bulbs.
The 28 year old company spent £750,000 and 10 months on expanding their production facilities in Basingstoke. This involved building two new mezzanine assembly areas into the site, increasing production by 30%.
Production Manager of Luxonic, Alan Ayres, said:
The changes we have put in place will give us a massive efficiency gain and more capacity to manufacture both LED and fluorescent luminaires.
Luxonics Managing Director, Nick Tavare, said:
89% of our production is now LED light bulbs. We’ve got some legacy projects that using older technology but they are declining rapidly. In 12 months time my prediction is there will be no metal halide and no fluorescent
